S- LIBRARY The pupils of Perquimans High School seem to be very careless about returning books to the library. This negligence calls for fines, but these fines always come in handy in help ing to buy new books. The total fines paid since the library opened in October is approximately $15. Most of the fines were collected during the month of February. The room that paid the most was 10-A with 8-A coming close behind. Fourteen (dol lars of the money collected has been spent for new books and the balance! used for library supplies. The circulation of books from the library since October has been around ,000. Two-thirds of the books were fiction, one-third non-fiction. The largest circulation was in the short est month of the year, February; Seventeen new books have been added to the library th year. !; The new books are: "It's More Fun When You Know the Rules." by Pierce; "On Carlins's Gridiron by Bavier; "Manners. for Millions," by Hadida; "How to Find the . Right Vocation." bv Kitson: "Tha WnrlI Almanac," "Wild Flowers," by Hom er; "Reptiles of the World," by Dlt- mars; "Birdcraft," by Wright; "Amusement in Mathematics." by Dudney; "Social Problems of the High School Boy," by Hudnall.
