ing a sizeable income from the sale
of inspected liquors, at the same time
ridding their counties of bootlegging
nuisance.
Under law the Commissioners can
call a special election in the issue
at any time. However, by the peti
tion route, the names of 15 percent
of the countey's qualified voters must
be affixed before the Commissioners
can request the Board of Elections to
call a special election.
The opposition forces have not put
in an active appearance yet, but
county-liquor-control forces are con
fident as to the result of the special
election the County Commissionere i
will be asked to discuss at the Sep
tember meeting.
