For Mrs. Hoskins
. Funeral services for Mrs. Ben
Skinner Hoskins- c of Perquimans
County were held Sunday- afternoon
at the New Hope Methodist Church.
Burial was made in the Episcopa
Churchyard in Hertford.
Mrs. Hoskins died suddenly Friday
afternoon at her, home, at the age
of 68.
Survivors include four children,
Baker Hoskins, Of Okisko, B. S. Hos
kins,' Jr., H. C. Hoskins and Mrs. E
Si Pierce, of Hertford.

Emergency crop and. seed loans for
1940 are now available to fsrmers in
Perquimans County, and applications
for these loans are now being re
ceived at the County Agent's office
in Hertford by E. F. . Morgan, FWd
Supervisor of the Emergency Crop
and Seed Loan Section of the Farm
Credit Administration.
These loans will be made, as in
the past, only to farmers whose cash
requirements are small and who can
not obtain a loan from any other
source, including production credit
associations, banks, or other private
concerns or individuals.
As in former years, the money
loaned will be limited to the appli
cant's necessary cash needs in pre
paring and cultivating his ,1940
crops or in purchasing or producing
feed for his livestock.
Borrowers who obtain loans for the
production of cash crops arc requir
ed to ghre as security a first lien on
the crop financed or, in the case of
loans for the purchase or production
of feed for livestock, a first hen on
the livestock to be fed.

on the way to Perquimans County
