Group of the Woman's Missionary Society of the Hertford Baptist Church met at the home of Mrs. J. A. Perry Tuesday evening. Mrs. Mark Gregory, chair man, had arranged a nice program and Mrs, Robert White gave a very interesting reading. After the business meeting a so cial hour was enjoyed with the joint hostesses, Mrs. Perry and Miss Net tie Lee Gregory, serving dainty re freshments. The following members were pres ent: Mesdames Matt Mathews, Fred Mathews, Robert White. Z. A. Har ris, Mark Gregory, A. F. Jordan, Tom'' Perry, J. E. Everett, John Moore, and Miss Nettie Lee Gregory. Hudson, Mrs. S. T. Jessup, Mrs. Trim Wilson, Mrs. H. A. Whitley, Mrs. W. H. Pitt, Mrs. J. H. Newbold, Mrs. J. R. Futrell and Mrs. T. P. Sumner. Mrs. Futrell was awarded high score prize at one table, while at the other table high scpre prize was presented Mrs. Wilson. Mrs. C. W. Morgan, Mrs. Simon Rutenberg and Mrs. T. S. White joined the party later in the after noon when a delicious salad course was served. BRIDGE SUPPER Miss Mary Sumner delightfully entertained, her bridge -club at supper at her home last Thursday evening. Those present were: Mesdames Chas. Williford, Charles E. Johnson, E. L. Laughinghouse, George Barbee, H. C. Stokes, Tommy Jessup, C. R. Holmes and the hostess. High score prize was awarded to Mrs. Chas. E. Johnson, low score prize to Mrs. Laughinghouse, and the floating prize to Mrs. Jessup. Mrs. Laughinghouse was presented a go-ing-away gift, as she has since mov ed to Edenton, where her husband is now employed. Rev. Winslow To Be On Air February 12-17 The Reverend C. E. Winslow, a former Hertford High School stu dent, may be heard at 8 o'clock each morning from February 12 through February 17. over Roanoke radio station WtDBJ at 930 kilocycles. Mr. Winslow is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Allan J. Winslow, of this county. Timothy Trueblood visited his brother in Norfolk, Va., Sunday af ternoon. G. D.
