Church held the regular monthly
meeting at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
W. W. Spencer on Thursday after
noon. Because of bad roads only five
members were able to attend. The
president, Mrs. C. W. Griffin, pre
sided over the meeting and Mrs.
Mattie Robbins conducted the devo
tional. After a discussion of va
rious subjects and a prayer by Mrs.
S. D. Banks, Mrs. Robbins dismissed
the meeting. The hostess served

Mary Towe Circle of the Woman's
Missionary Society of the Methodist
Church met Monday evening at the
home of Miss Mary 'Towe. Miss
Ruth Davenport was in charge of a
most interesting program. Fifteen
members were present. After an
entertaining evening delicious re
freshments were served.

a delightful bridge party last Friday
evening at her home on Church St.
