FELLOWSHIP SUPPER The men of the Methodist Church enjoyed a Fellowship supper, served by the ladiet of the church, Thurs ,day evening.1 New System To Choose Commissioners (Continued Brum Page One) .mintv. the Oountv Executive Com mittee of any political party therein shall nominate the candidate 01 any such Dartv as the nominee to be vot ed On in such general elections." ; From this act to provide lor the nomination and election of the Coun ty Commissioners, it appears that from now on no one township will bf represented by more than one com missioner and at the same time every township will be represented een if a candidate has to be drafted This method ... the new one . . . resembles in some degree the custom observed in Perquimans County be fore the year 1900 when the different townships nominated and elected their own commissioners. The dif ference now is that the townships only nominate. For forty years Perquimans Coun ty's Board of Commissioners has 'page rovrJ been composed of the five men high est in the primaries, regardless ol the township represented or whethei certain townships were represented on the board at all. It will certainly call for at least one change in the. present board whether the incumbents are opposed or not. CIRCLE NO.
