Those invit ed were; ' Misses Helen Mae White, Ann Tucker, Janet Murray, Frances Newby, ; Geneva White, Walley Cobb Mayes 'Mrs. Z. A. Harris and Mrs. t5. W. Mayes chaperoned the party. Return From Visit Dr. J. W. Zachary returned Tues day from Yadkinville, where he spent several days. Mrs. Zachary and their daughter, Nancy, who had been visiting relatives there for the past few weeks, returned home with him. Returns From Nags Head , Billy White has returned from Nags Head, where he spent the past week. Week-end Here Mr. and Mrs. Willie Reynolds, of Norfolk, Va., visited Mrs. Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Rogerson during the week-end. Week-end Here G. I. Bullock, of Creedmore, was .the week-end guest, of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. White. Week-end Visitor G. G. Stokes, who has been confined to her home because of ill ness, is now improving. Return Heme Mrs. William Howell and daughter, Ardith Ami, have returned to then home in Suffolk, Va,, after spending several days as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Eley. At Nags Head Mrs. Charles E. Johnson and son, Charlie, went to Nags Head Friday to spend several days. Week-end With Mother Miss Frances Fowler, who is at tending summer school at the Uni versity of North Carolina, Chapel Bill, snent the week-end with her mother, Mrs. R. M. Fowler. Week-end Here Miss Carolyn Riddick, who is at tending summer school at Atlantic Christian College, Wilson, spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Riddick. She had as her guests Miss Edla Taylor, of Green ville, Miss Kitty Cowper, of Rich. mond, Va., Miss Eugenia Cowper, of Gatesvftle, and Miss Nelle Riddick, of Gatesville. Here For Week-end Linwood Skinner, of Sanford, Fla., was the week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Hefren. Kinston Visitors Mrs. George Harrell and daughter of Kinston, were guests of Mrs. Har well's mother, Mrs. Carles Morgan, several days last week, Guest of Aunt Miss Caroline Wright, of Jarvis burg, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. C. Returns Home Carlton Davenport, Jr., has re turned from Nags Head, where he spent the past two weeks as the guest of -Howard Pitt, Jr. Portsmouth Visitor Charles Morgan, of Newport News, Va., is visiting his mother, Mrs. Charles Morgan. Week-end in Greenville Misses Margaret Broughton, Prue Newby and Mary Wood Koonce were week-end guests of friends in Green ville. Week-end at Nags Head Miss Jocelyn Whedbee and Mrs. Agnes Williams spent the week-end at Nags Head. Week-end at Jarrisburg Mrs. K. R. Newbold, Mrs. Charlie Skinner and son, Charles, were guests of 'Mrs. C. A. Wright, at Jar- visburg, during the week-end. At Nags Head C. X. Attends Funeral Earl Pierce, who is employed at Ocean City, Md., attended the funeral of his father, E. S. Pierce, Monday, and remained for a few days' visit. Week-end at Nags Head Miss Romona Divers spent the week-end at Nags Head as the guest of her sister, Mrs. Herbert Nixon. Returns From New York Mrs. Helen Vick Butler returned home Tuesday after a ten days' visit with relatives in New York. New. York Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Ted Keidanz, of New York, arrived Tuesday to spend sev eral days with Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Vick. Return Home Mr. and Mrs. John Lane and J. T. Lane, Jr., were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Taylor, at Wades boro. They were accompanied back home by Mrs. Lane and son, Tommy, who have spent the past three weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Taylor. Visiting Here M. S. Elliott, of Omaha, Neb., ar rived here this week for a visit with Mrs. R. W. Smith. Mrs. Elliott and children have been staying with Mrs. Smith for the past few weeks.
