The chairman of the local chapter is out of town, so the figures are not available. At the last checkup (at noon last Wednesday) the total amounted to "about one hundred dollars" or ap proximately one-sixth of the mini mum quota set for this cdunty. There is no house-to-house canvass in Perquimans County, but contribu tions are being received at the Post Office by Silas M. Whedbee, chair man of the local chapter, by the Rev. R. F. Pierce, in addition to his' duties there. Lynch and Overman began opera tion of a modern funeral home in Elizabeth City on the corner of Fear ing and South Road Streets in April.
