Postal o.jkials ask that Christ mas Greeting cards not be mailed in RED, GREEN, .-or other dark-coOorea envelopes or inUmall envelopes. 6. Perishable Matter. Parcels con taining perishable articles- should be marked "Perishable" and packed in suitable containers, according to the contents. The postal officials especially urge patrons to injure their packages when mailing thfem. The cost is very low. Also they wish to call to the attention of late mailers that Special Delivery Service will insure faster delivery of letters and packages. j ; 1 P rt Meeting The December meeting of the Parent-Teachers Association was held at the Grammar School Thursday after noon, December 5, at 3:30 o'clock with a good attendance. After sing ing two Christmas songs, "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" and "Joy to the Vv orld," the meeting was called to order by the president. The minutes of the last meeting were read by tita secretary ,and reports were heard from the various committees. A re port of the district meeting held in Edenton in November was given by Mrs. W. H. Pitt and the president's report was then read. . It was decided db hold all meetings of the group at night as more moth ers and fathers will be able to at tend a night meeting. - A moving picture "Golgotha" was presented Tuesday evening at the Grammar school for the -benefit of the curtain fund. After the business program was completed, the meeting was . turned over to the .program chairman," Mrs. C. R. Holmes. . A reading, "Parents Set The Pattern," was given by Mrs. J. W. Zachary and Mrs.?
