Those taking part on the program were Miss Ruth Elliott, Miss Mary Fields, Mrs. An thony Skipper and Mrs. Lucius Blanchard, Jr. Miss Knowles presided over the business session, during which rou tine matters were disposed of. During the social hour the hostess served delicious refreshments. Those present were Misses Bernice Yvhite, Patricia Stephens, Mary Fields, Katherine Jessup, Mary Eli zabeth Fields, Jeannette Fields and Ruth Elliott, Mesdames Anthony Skipper, Morgan Walker, Martin Towe and Lucius Blanchard, Jr. BIRTHDAY PARTY Mrs. J. W. Zachary delightfully entertained at a birthday party on Tuesday evening in honor of her daughter's twelfth birthday. LONG KEATON A quiet bat impressive wedding was solemnized on Friday afternoon when Miss Ruby Keaton, daughter of Mrs. Mary Keaton of near Hert ford, became the bride of Ernest Long of Edenton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Long. The marriage took place at the Baptist Parsonage at Center Hill with the Rev. Frank Cale officiating. The only witnesses to the wedding were Miss Mary Leary and O. C. Long, Jr., who at tended the couple. The bridje wore a beige suit with blue accessaries and her corsage was j of pink rosebuds. After the ceremony, the party motored to Norfolk, Va., where it was entertained at supper. Mr. and Mrs. Long will make their home near Edenton.
