Whed bee,. Hertford, Route Three, when their daughter, Margaret Whedbee, became the bride of Mr. Robert E. ; Kowalsky, of Norfolk, Va. The im pressive ring ceremony was used with the Rev. Mr. Johnson, pastor of the bride, officiating. The home was attractively deco- , rated with summer flowers. The bride wore a dress of navy blue crepe with white and blue ac cessories. Her flowers were a shoul der corsage of white gardenias. ''Miss Ola Bogue Whedbee was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a . dress of blue Bheer with white ac cessories. Her shoulder corsage was of pink rosebuds. The groom had as his best man, Floyd Matthews, brother-in-law of the bride. The bride is a graduate of Per quimans High School. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. I. V. Kowalsky, of Norfolk, Va. He was graduated from Great Bridge High vSchool and is now employed in the Navy Yard at Portsmouth, Va. w' After the ceremony, lemonade, take and cookies were served the guests. In Albemarle Hospital ' Mrs. H. F. Long underwent an ap pendectomy at Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth City, last week. Her con dition is very satisfactory. Wednesday in Elizabeth City Mrs. Sarah White, Mrs. Simon Rutenburg, Mrs. Carlton Perry and Mrs. R. T. Clarke spent Wednesday in Elizabeth City with Mrs. Perry's mother, Mrs. Charles Britt. Monday in Walke Forest Mrs. G. E. Newby spent Monday at Wake Forest with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Archie. At Nags Head Mr. and Mrs. T. S. White and son, Zach, went to Nags Head this week to spend some time at their cottage. MRS. FOUR MEETS Circle Number Four of the Wom an's Missionary Society of the Bap' tist Church met Monday evening at 1 the home of Mrs. J. E. Everett. Mrs. E. W. Mayes, chairman, presided. .Mrs. L. B. Sitterson gave the Scrip ture lesson and prayer was offered by Mrs. I. A. Ward. The subject of the lesson was "The Urgent Need of Gospel in Dark Eu rope." After the luncheon hour, the afternoon session will be gin and continue until 3 o'clock. Lunch will be served at the church.
