DELLA SHAMBURGERS MEET The Pella Shamburger Missionary Circle of the Methodist Church met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. W. H. Pitt with Mrs. Ben Thatch as joint hostess. Miss Mildred Reed, the new president, took charge "of a very interesting program with the following members taking part: Mrs. Oscar Felton, Mrs. Cecil Winslow, Mrs. Hurley Hoffler, Mrs. George W. Barbee, Mrs. Pitt and Miss Mary Jane Spruill. The hostesses served delicious re fresments to the fourteen present at the conclusion of the meeting. The meet ing w..s called to order and "Onward Christian Soldiars" was sung, after which the Collect was repeated. The roll was called and dues were paid. Year Hooks for were filled out. Miss Maness presented the money to the club that was earned by the members getting subscriptions to The Perquimans Weekly. Mrs. V. D. Perry was elected president, and Mrs. J. C. llobbs vice president. The demonstration, "The Home Front Prepares for Action," and the new Year Books were discussed by Miss Maness. She asked that all .'.b members turn in all silk and nylon hose and old records. She also asked that they check on their can ning equipment. The recreation hour was in charge of Mrs. J. C. Hobbs. Miss Blanche. Goodwin was the winner in the con test. The hostesses served a sweet course to the following members: Mesdames J. J. Phillips, W. P. Long, Joe White, R. L. Chappell, C. T. Phillips, C.
