Louhborr Student Horns Miss Eloise Keaton, who is attend-the home of Mrs. Julia$ White. Visiting Mother Mrs. Robert Blair, of Norfolk, Va. is the guest of her mother, Mrs. R. 'S. Jordan, this week. Mrs. Blair will leave next week to join her hus band, who is stationed at the Araiy Air Base, i'yute, Texas. MINNIE WILSONS MEETS The Minnie Wilson Missionary So ciety of the Hertford Methodist Church met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. J. R. Jarvis on Dobb Street. Mrs. T. S. White, chairman, was in charge of the business meet ing and Mrs. Henry Stokes had charge of a very interesting pro gram. There were about twelve members present Refreshments were served after the meeting. DELLA SHAMBURGER SOCIETY MEETS The Delia Shamburger Missionary Society of the Hertford Methodist Church met on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Vivian Mathews. Twelve members and a visitor were present. Miss Mildred Reed, chair man, had charge of the business ses sion. Mrs. D. F. Reed was in charge of an interesting program with Mrs. G. T. Skinner, Mrs. Edgar Morris and Miss Mildred Reedl assisting. At the conclusion of the meeting, refreshments were served. The April meeting-will be held at HOSTESS TO BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Herman Winslow entertained her bridge club Tuesday evening at her home. Those enjoying the even ing were Mesdames W. G. Wright, Charles Whedbee, V. N. Darden, J. 0. Felton, R. M. Riddick, J. G. Rob erson, Miss Kate Blanchard and Miss Alma Leggett. High score prize was awarded Mrs. Darden and second high to Miss Blanchard. A salad course was served. W. M. S. MEETS The Woman's Missionary Society of the Hertford Baptist Church met Monday afternoon at the church. The meeting was opened with the hymn, "We've a Story to Tell to the Nation," followed by the business meeting. Mrs. Charles Johnson gave the devotional and Mrs. Mark Gre gory offered prayer. C. R. Holmes made a splendid talk on Democracy and Christianity, after which he dis missed the group with a prayer. SNOW IUL N KAYS HOSTESS AT ROOK SUPPER Mrs. Henry Stokes graciously en tertained at a rook supper Thursday evening at her home on Front Street. Those enjoying the evening were Mes dames Julian White, G. R. Tucker, Carlton Cannon, Archie Lane, D. F. Reed, Edgar Morris, J. H. Towe, T. J. Nixon, Jr., and R. T. Clarke, Miss Mildred Reed and Miss Mary Sum ner. High score prize went to Miss Sumner, low to Mrs. Clarke, and the bingo prize to Miss Reed.
