JUNE 25, 1943 fAGE SIX 4' p'.tr f 'i A Kaus Exposition Furnishing Midway Firemen's Carnival A fine brand of entertainment is being furnished at the Hertford Firemen's carnival, on the Town lot, by the Kaus Exposition Shows, which cloises its engagement here on Satur day night. The shows are featuring a large number of modern riding devices, as well as other types of clean amusement and have been drawing large crowds nightly. A feature of the nierhtlv entertain ment is the giving away each night attend. of a $25 war bond, the drawing tak ing place at 10:30. Only one draw ing is made each night, except on Saturday night, and if the person whose name is drawn iis not present, the bond will be carried over until the next night and the winner award ed both bonds. This system is car ried on thus until Saturday night, when the drawing will continue un til the bonds are claimed by the party who happens to be present when the ticket is drawn. Saturday will be observed as Chil dren's Day, from 2:30 p. m. until 6 o'clock. CHILDREN'S DAY PROGRAM "The Golden Chain," a Children's Day pageant, will be given at Up River Friends Church on Sunday evening, June 27, at 8:45 o'clock.
