On Friday, July 6th, milk deliveries were resumed f i om Elmwood Farms Dairy on a Grade A basis. However, we wish to advise our customers and friends that the continuance of our . delivering milk in Hertford will rest in the hands of the Hertford Town Council and Countv Commissioners at their next regular meeting. We want it clearly understood that we want, to serve Hertford. Our Dairy was built for tnat purpose, but we emphatically do not intend to operate under the supervision of Dr. Hackett. We shall present our case to the two governing bodies at their next regular meet ing in an effort to show them clearly and conclusively that the truth was not reported and that the statement made by Dr. Hackett both to newspapers and the governing bodies, in respect to our dairy, was a slanderous untruth, and was later denied by the inspecting officer (one of his own men) that our dairy was graded down because of an alleged dislike that the inspecting officer had for the Dairy Manager, Mr. J. M. Suthard, a man whom lie had known for two or three days. We would like to say that Dr. Perry, the assistant Health Officer, is welcome on our pre mises any time to make an inspection or otherwise. We are very favorably impressed with him. He has judgment, common sense and an understanding of the Dairymen's problems TT WE REPEAT WE sHAIiL NOT OPERATE UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF DR HACKETT, NOR ANY HEALTH DEPARTMENT THAT GRADES A DAIRY ACCORDING TO ITS LIKES OR DISLIKES OF THE MANAGEMENT AND FAILS TO REPORT THE TRUTH.
