The November meeting of the
ParenVTeacher Association of the
Perquimans Central Grammar School
opened with 4he group singing

Mrs. Marvia Bobbins, a delegate to ,
t ie Ninth District meeting held in
Williamston recently, gave an inter-j
esting report on the meeting.
A review of suggested books for
children of various ages was given
by Mrs. Edgar Lane. This was time
ly given since the meeting was held
during Book Week. The group sang
"America, the Beautiful."
The subject for discussion was
"New Processes in . Education." It
was treated first from the stand
point of the; child itself. Pearl Hunt
er, a seventh grade student, express
ed her idea of whet a child expects
in education. She conveyed the idea
that "protected youth means a pro
tected future." ....;
"Hints from the State President'
were given by Mrs. Howard Hunter.
A collection was taken for the
Katherine Martin Memorial Fund.
Special music was rendered by
Pearl and Claire Hunter and Howard
Hunter.
The minutes of the last meeting
were read and approved and during
the business session, reports from
the following standing committees
were given:
Treasurer's report, Mrs. Raymond
Stanton,
Membership, Miss Margaret White.
Study Group, Mrs. Jesse Stanton.
Magazine, Mrs. Claude White.
Radio, Mrs. B. F. Bray.
Mrs. H. R. Winslow's room had the
most parents present and therefore
won the picture.
