Two colored students, Ruth Saw yer of the High School Department, and Louise Davis, of the Elementary Department of the Perquimans Train ing School, have been awarded the war stamps offered by the War Finance Committee for hisrhest sales made during the Fourth War Loan It was at first announced that King Williams and R. L. Kingsbury won the stamps, but these two teachers acted as agents for the girls winning the prizes, and sales credited to them should have been listed for the two students. HOSTESS TO BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. R. M. Riddick entertained members of her bridge club on Tues day evening at her home on Dobb Street. Those present were Mes dames B. G. Koonce, W. G. Wright Oscar Felton, J. G. Roberson, Herman Winslow, Charles Whedbee, T. P. Brinn and Miss Kate Blanchard. High score prize went to Mrs. Brinn and Mrs. Roberson received the low score award.
