New Bowling Alleys Drawing Sport Fans Hertford's newest lorin or recrea- tion, the bowling alleys which opened lor the public recently, has had a large number of bowling lang enjoy- nig the sport since the opemug date, A. W. ilefren, co-owner oi the alleys, stated this week. . i Mr. Hefren and B. F. Amuley, the owners, have lour sets of alleys for the bowlers and each has been much in use since the opening. The al- leys are well arranged and lighted and the building housing the alleys has been renovated into a fine room with plenty of space for spectators. l'or the present time, in coopera tion with the health authorities, no children under 16 are permitted to outer or stay within the building. This ruling applies only so long as the Health Department continues its restrictions to prevent spread ef polio. Certain Ration Books Must Be Returned Mis. Helen Davenport, clerk to the I'erquimans Kation Board, announced today that ration books issued to men inducted into the armed forces or to people w. have died must be returned to the offices of the local ration board.
