Jackson entertained at a bridge party last Thursday even ing in honor of Miss Laura Francine of Haverford. Pa. Those playing were Miss Francine, honoree, Mes dames Riddick Chappell, Fred Mor rill, Walter Edwards, J. W. Bryant, R. S. Monds, Jr., S. S. Hollingsworth, Ben Thatch, G. R. Anderson, C. W. Miller, Charles Johnson, Olivia Hobbs, Dennis Holliday, Kelly White, L. S. White, Corbin Dozier, Hudson But ler, Lawrence Towe, Clifford Banks, Edgar Lane, Miss Alma Legjrett, and Miss Elizabeth Fowler. High corc prizes were awarded Mrs. Bryant and Mrs. Hollingsworth, second high went to Mrs. Butler and low to Mrs. Towe. A guest prize was presented Miss Francine. A salad course was served by the hostess, assisted by Miss Fowler and Mrs. Lane. HOSTESS TO BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. V. N. Darden was hostess to her bridge club Tuesday night at her home on Front Street. Baker and daugh ter, Judy, have returned to their home in Washington, D. C., after having spent some time with her par ents, Mr. and Mrs George Caddy. Mrs. Caddy accompanied them back to Washington for a short visit. Visiting Daughter Mr. and Mrs. John Griffin, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Griffin and son, James, all of Tyner, visited Mrs. E. E.
