pointed out, because a single check

Funds Allocated for Tenant
PiirrhaaA l.nana
Allocations among the States and
territories of half of the $50,000,0001
authorized for the Farm Security
Administration's tenant purchase
loans for the next 12 months have
been announced by the U. S. De
partment of Agriculture. The re
mainimr S25.000.000 is earmnrlroH
for loans to World War If
and will be made available wherever
the demand for loans' occurs. The
allocated funds distributed on th
basis of farm population and the pre
valence of tenancy, will be used in
the regular FSA program under
which loans are madp t
sharecroppers and farm laborers for
me purcnase or family-size farms.
Congress increased these funds by
$10,000,000 over last year.
1 he loans, made under thP Rant.

1937, can cover the full purchase
price of a family farm. They are

paid principal. One requirement ap
plicants must meet to obtain a loan
is inability to get adequate credit
from other sources on reasonable
terms. An exception to this is made
only in the case of veterans who
show a need for the type of vocation
al guidance offered by FSA.
No More All-Rubber Tires
No more tires will be manufactured
entirely of natural rubber, W. James
aears, deputy director of WPB's Rub
ber Bureau, reported as- r additional
steps to conserve America's dwind
ling stockpile of natural rubber were
announced. "Every pound of natur
al rubber must be reserved for pro
ducts that cannot be made of ade
quate quality by using synthetic
rubber," Sears said.
Consumer Prospects for Wearing
Apparel
To assure continued production for
nine kinds of coats and overcoats for
men, women and children, manufac
turers will be granted priorities as
sistance in obtaining woolen knitted
fabrics in the third and succeedinir
quarters, WPB said. The coats and
overcoats for which priorities assist-

ance win be granted are: women's,
misses' and juniors' coats; teen-age
girls coats; girls' coats; children's
coats; toddlers' coats; infants' coats;
boys' finger-tip 'coats; men's ulster
ana double-breasted . overcoats, and
men s basic model overcoats.
A WPB order, effective in Mav.
covering distribution of textiles to
manufacturers is helping to bring
back medium and lower-priced gar
ments to dealers' shelves by late
summer, said Kenneth W. Marriner,
director of WPB's Textile Bureau.
Cloth allocation was made to provide
for three civilian groups: children,
workers and that trroun of adults
whose annual earninirs do not. allow
them to accumulate wardrobes. Spec
ial consideration was piven to chil
dren's garments over adult needs.

WOULD YOU GAMBLE EVERYTHING
YOU OWN ON ONE CARD GAME?
The Answer, of Course Is 1
Unless you have adequate Automo
bile Insurance, you are gambling
more than that every time you move
your car.
And insurance costs so very little
considering how much it can save.
