OPERATED UPON Mrs. J. R. Jarvig wag operated upon at' Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., this week and is getting along nicely. J. R. Jarvis, Lieut.-Comdr. Kenneth Jarvis and Jack Jarvis, who spent several days there, returned home the latter part of the week. CIRCLE NO. 4 MET Circle No. 4 met Monday night with Mrs. W. F. Edwards as hostess. Mrs. T. E. Madre presided. The meeting opened with the hymn "Jesus oaves." Prayer was offered by Mrs. Lena Gregory. Hoi was called with 14 members and one visitor prrsent. Mrs. G. ('. Muck gave a very in teresting program, the subject being "Jews and Arabians" and "S"d for her Scripture lesson Acts 2:1-12. The hymn "We've a Story to Tell to the Nations" was sung and prayer offered by Mrs.. Everett. Those taking part on the program were Mrs. Mark Gre gory, Mrs. Robert White, Mrs. Tom I'erry and Mrs. Buck. The closing prayer was offered by Mrs. Madre. The hostess served deli cious refreshments. BRIDGE HOSTESS .Miss Kate Blanchard was hostess to her bridge, club Tuesday evening at her home on Market Street. Those playing were Mesdames V. N. Darden, J. 0. Felton, J. G. The program consisted of readings. The Good Shepard by Mrs. W. W. Spen cer, the Care and Devotion of the Good Shepherd by Mrs. Blanche Nur ney, the Stray Sheep and His Value by Mrs. L. R. Webb.
