STANLEY PARTY FOR BROWNIES The Hertford Brownie Troop No. 1 is holding a Stanley party to increase their recreation fund at the Hotel Hertford on Tuesday, April 13, at 2 P. M. " The public is cordially invited. Refreshments will be served. The Brownies are junior band of Girl Scouts and have been increasing in membership through their recent' activities. The present officers are Marjorie Brinn, president, and Mary Dow Chappell, secretary and treas urer. An Easter egg hunt held at the home of Mrs. Howard Williams re cently was greatly enjoyed by the 20 young girls and their leaders. CHAPPELL-SPIVEY Miss Juanita Spivey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Spivey of Hobbs ville and Gailey Chappell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Linwobd Chappell of Belvi dere, were quietly married Saturday morning, March 2.7, at 9:15 o'clock by the Rev. Charles W. Duling of Hert ford. The couple had as their only at tendant Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Spivey, brother and 'sister-in-law of the bride. The bride was attired in a Navy blue gabardine suit with Navy and white accessories and wore a corsage of red roses and lily of the valley. The ring ceremony was performed.
