The expansion program of the com pany, which moved here late last fall, is also expectsd to be a boost for the local payroll figures. Lane was a most charming hostess to a number of friends Saturday afternoon at her home near Burgess complimentary to her little daughter, Annie Lou, who was celebrating her tenth birthday anniversary. Guests gathered on the. lawn at 3 o'clock, where games and contests were enjoyed, with Emma Overton, Annette Proctor, Julia Mae Boyce and Chip Britt winning prizes. Mrs. Robert Hewitt was in charge of the games and assisted the hos tess. Many prizes were won, which were graciously presented to tile hon oree. Delicious refreshments were served to all. The table was covered .with a while linen slcth and centered by a three-tier birthday cake decorated with pink and green and flanked by double candelabra holding- tall pink tapers. The birthday cake was cut and passed. As the guests left the dining room they were each favored with a balloon, and candy Easter eggs were passed.
