a chicken salad plate and lemonade

The rooms were decorated with cut
summer ; flowers and lighted tapers
carrying out the color scheme of pink
and green. '
The guests were greeted at the
door by Mrs. Estes Copeland. Mrs.
L. J. Winslow had charge of -the reg
istration book. Mrs. Woodley Bundy
directed the guests to the gift room.
Mrs. R. M. White invited the guests
into the dining room, where the table
was covered with an imported lace
cutwork cloth.

Rae Chappell were at the punch bowl.
Assisted by Mrs. N. W. Chappell and
Mrs. Jerome Hurdle, they served the

Circle No. 4 of the Hertford Bap
tist Church met Monday evening with
Mrs. Billy White as hostess. The
meeting was called to order by the
chairman, Mrs. T. E. Madre. A hymn
was sung, and the Lord's Prayer was
repeated in unison. The roll was
called with 15 members , nresent.
j Business was 'discussed. Mrs. Tom
(Perry was program leader for the
evening. The Scripture lesson was
'given by Mrs. J. E. Everett. Miss
Mamie Stallings led in prayer. Mrs.
Mark Gregory gave the lesson. The
meeting was closed by singing the
evening prayer. Refreshments were
served by the hostess.
