Mrs. Mark Gregory presided and call ed the meeting to order by singing a hymn, "Hark -the Voice of Jeeus ' Calling." : Prayer by Mrs. Gregory. ' The roll was then called, having 15 members and one visitor. The presi dent, Mrs. V. N. Darden. Mrs.' Lena Gregory, was in ehaige of Jhe pro gram, assisted by Mrs. I B. Sitter son, Mrsl Joe ' - Caravello and Mrs. Young Berry. The hostess served de licious refreshments.' , BRIDGE SUPPER Miss Helen Morgan was hostess at a bridge supper v Tuesday . evening, held at the Hotel Hertford. TO RESOLUTION OF RESPECT THE MEMORY OF CLARENCE WHITE PHILLIPS (1921 - 1948) On November 13, 1948, God in His infinite wisdom, called to his Heav enly Home our beloved friend, Clar ence White Phillips. His sudden passing caused us much sorrow, but God knows best His life was char acterized by continued faithful and humble service in his community. As a member of Bethel Baptist Church, teacher of the Young Men's Sunday School Class and co-worker in com munity organizations, he was loval to the end. Truly his love for his fel low man and his devotion to the fine things of life will lone live in the hearts of his friends. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Clarence White Phil lips in the home-going of their loved one and pray that God .will bear them up in their great loss.
