VAOiiMsEisfc Hattys i Full four-year scholaraihipa, Includ ing free tdltion, room and board and all ' necessary fees required of stu dents and furnished by the State Edu cational institution at which such stu dent has matriculated, are made avail able by the State of North Carolina to certain eligible children of war vet etans. These scholarships are for use during; regular school years and do not include summer schools; Eligibility re quirements for these scholarships fall into three classes. For children of war veterans killed in war-time service, or wh died as a direct result of service-connected wounds or disabilities an unlimited number of scholarships are avail able. Children of veterans having service connected war-time disability of 30 ov more as rated by the Veterans Ad ministration. Veteran must have been a legal resident of North Carolina when he entered service. Limited to ID scholarships each year. Children of veterans raited by the Veterans as 100 disabled and draw ing compensation therefor, whether service-connected or otherwise. Fath er must have been a resident of North Carolina upon entry into' service. Scholarships limited to 15 each year. - Two years residence in the State of IfortJt Carolina is required of all ap-j phcants before being eligible. It is emphasized that these scholarships are good only at State educational in stitutions. This means those which are operated and supported by State appropriations, and not those institu tions merely located within the State.
