MINUTES OF MEETING BOARD OF EDUCATION The Perquimans County Board of Education met in regular session Monday, May 1, 1950. AH members were present. Chairman J. A. White presided. Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. I The Board of Education approved all white and Negro teachers who had been elected by the school commit tees., , Board accepted the resignations of Mr. Rudolph Wiggs and Mrs. L. G. Finch. - The Board authorized Superin tendent to have light bulbs on baseball field replaced. 'Superintendent reported that the drainage and leveling of playground at Perquimans Training School had been completed. The April, 1950 Grand Jury Report was read for information. Superintendent was authorized to iplace order for gymnasium seats. (Six sections, 16 feet long and 8 rows high.) Motion was made, seconded, and passed permitting civic clubs-and or ganizations to use school buildings without charge except for janitorial service, not to exceed $2.50.
