In correspondence with Dr. Blair
on the project, Commissioner Ros
ser stated, "In my opinion the De

a practicing physician or technician,
or in the case of veterans the type

IWe are changing the printing on
the driver's licenses to be issued on
and after July 1, 1951, to leave a
space for 'blood type.' It is under
stood that this service will be fur

refusal to issue a license,-; ,ne con

"Your local Junior Chamber' of
Commerce is to be commended on the
flue-srestion. The nlan should be of
great help to those in treating acci
dent victims, consequently saving lives
that would be lost if they had to wait
for blood chemistry," he added.
Dr. Blair stated that Jaycee groups
throughout the State would provide
booths at which blood typing could be
made and would conduct campaigns
encouraging citizens of the State to
have their Wood types determined.
Praising the plan, Civil ; Defense
miinr Jnnea said that by carrying
their blood types on a card as easily
accessible as a drivers license, tne

themselves with an Important pro-
