The Young People's Class Meeting . of the Berea Church of Christ was held on Friday night, October 3, at the home of Wilma Ann Caddy. ' The meeting opened with the sing ing of "Love Lifted Me", after which' T the Lord's Prayer' was repeated. The Scripture reading was taken from John 1: 1-12 which was rendered by the president. " Shirley Eure read a poem. The lesson was the ninth and - tenth verses of Acts. For the clos ing hymn, "Help Me Find My Place" was sung. (Benediction was by Mrs. Horace Miller. 1 :-. Whereas, the County Board of Edu cation of the County of Perquimans, acting for the Perquimans County School Administrative Unit, has de termined that it is necessary to pro vide certain additional school facili ties .in said unit such as are described in Section 1 of this bond qrder, in or der that the - public schools in said County may be maintained, as a part of the system of public schools of the State of North Carolina, for the term required by the Constitution of North Carolina, and that it will be neces sary to expend for such purposes not less than $175,000 in addition to any other available moneys, and have re quested the Board of Commissioners to issue bonds of the County of Per quimans to raise such' sum: Now, Therefore, (Be it ordered by the Board of Com missioners .of the County of Per quimans as follows: . Section 2. In order to raise the money required to finance the erection of such new school plant facilities and for. the erection of additions to and the reconstruction and altera tion .of such existing school plant fa cilities and the acquisition of such land and the purchase pf such fur nishings and equipment, bonds of the County of Perquimans are hereby au thorized and shall be issued pursuant of the State of North Carolina, for to the County Finance Act of North the term required by the Constitution Carolina. The maximum aggregate of North Carolina, and that it will be principal amount of said bonds au sand Dollars ($175,000) Section 3. A tax sufficient to pay the principal of and interest on said bonds when due. shall be annually levied and collected. : 'Section 4. ; "A statement of the County debt of the County of Per quimans has been filed with the Clerk of the Board of .Commissioners of said County and is open to public inspec tion.;; , V Section 5. This ; bond order shall take effect when approved by the vot ers of the County at an election as provided in said Act. ,. The foregoing bond order has been introduced and a sworn statement has necessary to expend for said purposes, thorized by this bond order shall be been filed under the County Finance Act, showing the assessed valuation of the County to be $7,387,851 and the. net debt for school purposes, includ ing the proposed bonds to be $205,990. A tax will be levied for the payment of the proposed bonds and interest, if the same shall be issued. Any citizen or taxpayer may protest against the issuance of such bonds at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held at the regular meeting place of said Board of Commissioners in the County Court House in Hertford, North Carolina, at 10 o'clock A. M., on the Z7th day of November, 1950, or an adjournment thereof. J. W.
