C, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 22, 1950 Stu3'S p j uT.1 'The month of November found North Carolina highway patrolmen traveling approximately 109 miles per day per patrolman while per forming their duties, the North Caro lina ' Department of Motor Vehicles has reported. The patrolmen totaled 1,383,189 miles traveled during the month and averaged approximately 10 hours on duty per, day per patrolman. v In addition to 14,973 courtesies ex tended, the patrolmen weighed 328 vehicles and found 125 overloaded. They issued 2,088 equipment tickets nd 674 light tickets. A total of 79,- 586 vehicles were inspected and lights corrected on 25,858 vehicles. . The Patrol Investigated 1,873 acci dents in which 76 persons were killed and 874 injured. A total of 6,727 warning tickets were issued and 7,256 camplaints were investigated. ' . (During the month', patrolmen made 6,685 arrests. Driving intoxicated was charged in 577 , cases.
