SABRA ALLEN WINSLOW On November 11, 1950, God fai His infinite wisdom called to her heavenly home, our beloved friend. Sabra Al len Winslow She and. her husband. John DeWitt Winalow. established a home dn the Whiteston community. bhe was a good wafe and a devoted mother. From their happy, satisfy ing home life there seemed to radiate a '.feeling of love, comradeship and neighborliness to the whole communi ty. Her sudden passing was a shock to all who knew her. We are reminded of the scripture "In .the midst of life there is death." However, God makes no mistakes and we must 'bdw in humble submission to His will. Mrs. Winslow was an active mem ber of .the Up-River Woman's Mis sionary Socitity, ever ready to help in its work in anyway possible. She was, especially faithful in visiting the sick and shut-dns in her community. The memory of -her sweet' Christian I snint will lone linger with us. Her absence is sadly fell, not only in our society but, in church and Sunday School and club work as well. Our deepest sympathy goes to the family. THE WOMAN'S MISSIONARY SOCIETY OF UP-RIVER FRIENDS CHURCH ricultural outlook summary which is being distributed to farm-agents in all of the State's JUU counties. The conclusions given in the summary are based on data provided by the U. S. Department of Agriculture. According to the summary, produc tion costs will be higher in 1951; Tax es will be higher. Farm labor is ex pected to be higher in price and more difficult to obtain. v Supplies of feed, fertilizer, and farm" equipment, appear to be adequate but likely to be high er in cost and more difficult to get at critical times. Supplies of some pes ticides may be short and prices mater ially higher. With no extremes of weather, the: volume of farm marketings win jn- crease. The expected higher produc tron, selling at a higher price and pro duced at a higher cost, should yield net incomes to farm operators' about 15 per cent above the level of 1950 Family living costs will be higher but the real income or purchasing power of farm families wil be improved over the last two years. The specialists Doint ut that utronir inflationary pressures continue to operate in the jreneral economv. Since the Korean incident began last June,! I iL. i J ..-. . . . uie wuex ox prices receivea oy farm ers has advanced 8.5 per cent Like wise the index of prices paid by farm ers in October, 1950, was up 7 per cent from a year ago.
