County of 1951, as winner of the con
test, sponsored by the Perquimans 4-n
Clubs, she was awarded a dozen
American Beauty, roses and a' gold
cup. ' .'

Meads. Miss Mary Gaskins and Earl
Bateman, all of Elizabeth City.
I Flowers were also presented run-ners-up
in the contest who were Irene
Hunter, Nellie Cartwright and Eliza
beth Proctor. Receiving honorable
mention were Doris Faye Allen, Shir
ley Copeland, Nonie Lou 'Lane, Marion
Elliott and Frances Sutton.
