C, announces iia 15th Annual Conservation Poster Contet brated the first week of 'Spring Oth er xAzen rutins; from $50 to - (10 Ihe purpose of the contest is to de velop a nationwide Interest, particular ly among young people, in tite need fs restoration and conservation of our organic natural resources. 1 - The contest is open to all students anywhere in the United .States from .the seventh grade through the last yer In high school. The contest will be divided Into two nouns. Group I will cover mil con testants from the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades. Group H will cover the high school grades through the senior year. The first Prize for Group I is $100 and for Group II, $259. The awards will be made in connection with Nat ional Wildlife Restoration Week cele will be presented. : ' ; ! Posters may be submitted in oil, wa- (ercolor, black and white and other, media, and are to be sent to the Nat ional Wildlife Federation, Washing ton 10, D. The High School Troop of the Hert ford Girl Scouts were hostesses at a progressive dinner party held Mon day night, December 17. The main course, barbe cue and Brunswick Stew, was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clay Stokes. The party then proceed ed to the home of Superintendent and Mrs. John T.
