The Friends Quarterly Meeting will
convene at Piney Woods next Satur
day and Sunday; Isaac Harris, execu
tive secretary of N. C. Yearly Meet
ing of Friends, will be the guest
speaker. Friends from lower Virginia
wiill also be present The public is

After an extended visit with rela
tives in the county, Mr. and Mrs. El
mo Cannon, Jr., and three children
are returning to their home in Waco,
Texas, this week.
The L. C. Winslow family, accom
panied by Miss Catherine Goodwin of
Hertford, visited Quaker Lake re

1 T C. Perry, Jr., is leaving New
foundland and returning to the States
to attend a school in Bainbiidge Md.,
beginning June 7th.
The T. C. Perry family were Sun
day supper guests of Mr. and Mrs.
William Winslow at Whiteston. ,

week-end at their Nags Head cottage
on Roanoke Island.
Mrs. T. C. Perry, Jr., spent Monday
night with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
