her bridge club Tuesday night at
her home on Grubb Street. Those
playing were Mesdames W. G.
Wright, B. G. Koonce, V. N. Dar
den, T. B. Sumner, Charles Henc,
Charles Whedbee, Miss Thehna El
liott and Miss Kate Bianichard. The
high score prize was awarded Mrs.
Wright and the low score prize went
to Mrs. Henc. A sweet course was
served.

Mrs. Margaret Anne (Peggy)
White of Hertford, Route One, was
the honoree of a luncheon party
when her hosts were Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Edwards who entertained in a
delightful fashion in.' their home in
Greenville; Monday, May 18, when
Miss White received her B. S. De
gree from East Carolina College.
At the luncheon hour, the guests
were seated at one long .table in the
dining room for the serving of a
delicious menu. The attractive cen
tral decoration was a bowl of red
and white garden, flowers.
Places at .the table were arranged
for the hosts; honor guest, Miss
White's mother, Mrs. Jacob L. White,
Sr.; her sister, Mrs. Lloyd Overton,
