Local Swine Sale Termed Successful Thn Alfomarlfl Rnwwfoni A nwviuKnn held their annual fall purebred swine sale at Hertford Livestock Market, August 28. Jim Butler, former As sistant County Agent, who is now a swine specialist at State College, con ducted the sale. According to Ralph Sasser, Assistant County Agent, the sale average was $62.59. ; This was about $5.00 higher than the sale held here by the Association in -February of this year. Clarence Chappell, Sr., sold the highest price hog in the sale and Preston Nixon had the second highest priced hog. . AT UP RIVER MEETING Samuel R. Levering of Ararat, Va., will be at the Up River Meeting on Sunday night, September 7, at 7:80 to speak on the Advance Program of. the Five Years Meeting.
