Top each' bowlful with grated cheese. Operation Christmas Week November 10-21 Governor William B. Umstead has officially set aside November 10-21 as Operation Christmas Week. Present at the Governor's office in Raleigh for the occasion were Chief Warrant Of ficer Clyde Gurkin, director of Opera tion Christmas; Lieutenant Colonel Bernard A. Katz, assistant to Major General Edward J. Timberlake of the Ninth Air Force, and Vestal Taylor of Fayetteville, representing Gene Ochsenreiter, president of the State Junior Chamber of Commerce. The Governor asked the delegates to express his appreciation to Gen eral Timberlake and Mr. Ochsenreiter for making Operation Christmas pos possible again this year. The project is now in its fourth year. It pro vides holiday cheer for more than 5, 000 children in North Carolina orphan and child care homes.
