To Hold Reunion
Veterans of the 81at Wildcat Di
'vision and their Ladiea . will. meet in
Raleigh in National Reunion on Sat
urday and Sunday, November 21-22.
f .-, The Hotel Sir Walter will be Head
quarters for the Reunion, which will
get underway on the morning of the
21st, with registrations. v.
A trip to Capitol Square at 3:30
P. M., when a Wreath will be placed
at the Wildcat Marker. The first
wtimr will be held at 5:00 P. M
" and the Ball will be held at the Sir
Walter at 9:00 P. M.
SnnHav the 22nd there will be a
Rnsiness nwetinsr at 10:00 A.M. Me
morial Service at 11:00 A. M., at
which Hon. Roy L. McMillan will
make the Memorial Address. The
ein-tinn of officers will follow and
the Reunion will close with a barbecue
dinner
Tli Veterans will be headed by
Hon. Wm. B.: Umstead, Governor, of
North -Carolina who is a Veteran of
the Division, Brig. Gen. Chas. D. Rob
erts, Chief of Staff of the Division,

manded the 306th Engineers, B. P.
Pritchard, Jr., the present National
Commander, and representatives of
Veterans trom some eighteen states.
North Carolina furnished 7200 to
the personnel of the Division in
World War I, and South Carolina
5000. They trained at Camp Jackson.

The Woman's Bible Class of Up-
River Friends Church met Monday
evening at the community building
with the Men's Bible Class as their
guests. Mrs. Archie B. White, class
president, presided over the meeting.
''Help Somebody Today" was used sb
the opening song. .
Mrs. Dempsey Winslow, teacher of
the class, conducted the devotional
using as her theme "Press Forward."
Mrs. Tom Riddick and Mrs. Willie
Gregory sang as a duet "The Old
Road". The Rev. James Rahenkemp,
pastor of Up-River Church, led in
prayer.
A short business session was held.
Miss Pearle White, recreational lead
er, conducted several interesting con
tests, after which the class hostesses,
Miss Lena Winslow, Mrs. Tom Rid
dick and Mrs. Willie Gregory, served
delicious refreshments.
The meeting adjourned to meet
again the first Monday in December
with the Men's Bible Class as hosts.
