This is 8.5 per cent (greater than last year; or 20.8 per; cent .greater than four years igp, when a low enrpllment of 40,739 was reached following the peak enrollment of 47,071 in 1947-48. Current enrollment js now 49,202. This enrollment is in creased to, 49,800 if certain Bible colleges and the Southeastern Bap tist Theological Seminary, not listed,- are included. r Enrollment in senior colleges increased 6.6 in 1955-56 over such enrollment, in .1954-55., During the same period enrollment increased 22.2 in jun ior colleges. M-H CLUB MEETS The,' fifth and sixth grades of 1 Perquimans County Central Gram- mar School held, a joint 4-H Club meeting ; in the auditorium on March ;28 at 10 A, M. Each grade held its own business' meeting and the fifth grade presented the pro gram using stories and songs. - R. M. Thompson introduced Bob by Mathews who gave a demonstra tion oft artificial respiration. , Sev eral boys and girls - were, usqd in the demonstration. . 1 The 7th grade 4-H Club of the Central Grammar , 'School met on March 28 in the school auditorium. Carroll McDonnell presided over the meeting. The minutes were . read and, approved. ' R. KT,; Thompson County Agent, Introduced fcdbby Matthew' who gave an) interesting demonstration on artificial respiration. After the demonstration some -of the hoys and girls were shown how to give artificial respiration and they prac ticed doing it. The meeting then closed. The 8th grade 4-H Club of Per quimans High School met March 26 hi the high school auditorium. The 4-'H pledge was said and then the meeting was turned over to the. program chairman, Willis Williams. Wayne Howell . led in the Lord's Prayer. ;The group sang .."Ameri ca"! and "Solomon Levi", For the demonstration 'Bobby Matthews gave a talkjon artificial respiration. It is believed that the 4-H mem bers benefitted greatly from this demonstration. -The meeting was then adjourned.
