'The president announced ' the unit's membership quota had been increased by four, and urged all ' members to work toward achieve .:' ment of the 1916 membership goal. The secretary reported all obliga tions of the N.' C. Pepartment had keen met, and the treasurer report- ed a bank balance of $309.93. . i Suggestions for raising funds for the Auxiliary were discussed and ' the group voted to sell candy as a fund raising project. Members were reminded to bring gifts, at the November meetipg, to be for warded to hospitals for veterans' Christmas presents.- - 1 :. , Mrs., J. H. Towe, Mrs. Kelly White and Mrs. Mattie A. White were named as a committee to co operate with the Legion on plans for a joint meeting to be held dur ing November honoring Veterans' Day. After the close of the meeting the hostesses served orange- .fruit cake and coffee to the 18 members present. .' ' ;. ; .
