Citizens Requested To Aid Street Dept. , An appeal has been madc to citi zens of Hertford to help the street department maintain a clean town during the Christmas holidays. Be cause of the department's work schedule, residents ' are requested not to place leaves or trash on the streets for collection after Friday night. The work schedule will not per mit the department to pick up leaves and .'trash after Saturday, and this work will not be resumed until after Christmas. White Rites Held : Sunday Afternoon I Funeral services for Thomas Si I las White, 77, who died last Fri- day at a Raleigh hospital after a I long illness, were conducted Sun day afternoon in the Woodville Baptist 'Church by the Rev.'
