at First Methodist Church, Hert
ford, on Sunday night, December
22, at 7:30 o'clock. Directed by
Mrs. Ben G. Koonce, this year's
pageant includes a large cast and
a choir. : Mrs. L. C. Winslow is
organist.

Funeral Services
For Elihu White
, Elihu Anthony White, 67, died
suddenly early Monday morning
at his home at Whiteston. He
was the son the late late Rich
ard H. and Ella C. White and
a native and lifelong resident
of Perquimans County.
Survivors include one broth
er, Charlie C. White and and
one sister, ' Mrs. J. M. Jolliff ,
both of Perquimans Countv.
Funeral services were conduct
ed at the home Tuesday after
noon at 2 o'clock with members
of the American Legion Post of
ficiating. The pallbearers were
nephews of Mr. White's Burial
was in the family plot.
, Tommy Stanton, .1 4-year-old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Stan
ton of Winfall, sustained a brok
en arm and numerous bruises and
abrasions about 1 P. M.,' Tuesday
when he was" struck, by a pickup
truck on grounds at Perquimans
High School in Hertford.
He, was admitted to the Albe
marle Hospital where officials re
ported Wednesday morning that
the youth also sustained rib injuries.

cident said that there was no way
Elliott could have, avoided strik
ing Stanton with the quickness
with which he moved into the
truck's path. Only the headlight
of the vehicle was damaged.- v
Biggers said medical bills will
be paid by an insurance company
which covers, all school children
during their stay at school. '
