The meeting closed with the extension agents conducting demonstrations. "birthday dinner" Mrs. J. C. Hobbs was delight fully honored at a dinner in ob servance Of her 68th birthday on Friday evening, January 3, 1958 by her children at the Bethel Community House. A delicious meal consisting of ham and turkey with all the trim mings was enjoyed by all at a long banquet table centered with a beautiful 4-tiered birthday cake with-, , white icing : decorated in colors of pink and blue topped with the traditional candles. White candles graced each end of the table. At the conclusion of the meal the honoree cut the cake and cake and ice cream was ser ved to all. Following the meal the honoree opened and acknowl edged, her nice gifts. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Long, Sidney and Lela Mae; Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hobbs, Becky, Johnnie, Beckie, Donald and Sybil Lou; Mr. and Mrs. L. E.
