County Flooded By Heavy Rains A low-pressure area . which hovered over Eastern Carolina Saturday and Sunday, ' brought an estimated six-inches of rain fall to this area causing many sections of the ; county to be flooded. A number of roads were so flooded motorists played it safe by detourlng around certain sections. Weathermen reported, .the heavier f rainfall occurred be tween 1 P. M. and midnight Sunday when some three inches of rain was recorded. The storm also carried winds reg istered up to 63 miles per hour in gusts. King Street PTA Presents Play The King Street Elementary School PTA presented a two-act comedy, "Lady Minstrels from Dixie," on Monday night, Feb ruary 1. ; This was the second event presented by the parents and teachers this school year.
