In 1958 I Chowan County re
corded no accidents for the
Fourth holiday. Gates County
had two accidents which result
ed in no injuries. Perquimans
County recorded one accident
that left three injured and one
dead.
For 1959 Chowan County
again recorded no accidents. Per
quimans County had one acci
dent that resulted in on in
juries and Gates County had one
accident that resulted in two
injuries. . 1 -
Last year Chowan and Per
quimans had one accident -each,
resulting in no injuries: !. 'Shree
persons ivere injurad in, a single
accident 'in "Gates' County for
the 1960 Fourth week-end.
; The North Carolina State Mo
tor Club of Charlotte predicted
that at least 21 persons, will die
in traffic accidents in North
Carolina during -the 'Fourth of
July week-end, which will ex
tend for four' days this year.
