Ward. 61, a na tive of Perquimans County and resident of Oceana, Va., "for the past several years, died Monday enroute to Norfolk Gen eral Hospital. : , ; He was the son of the late Haywood E. and Sarah TUza beth White Ward. He was em ployed at the Ofceana Air Base and was 1 a veteran . of World War II. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. A, I Godfrey of Woodville and Mrs. Annie Thompson of Puigo, fa.,- and one brother, Vernon L. and of 'Moyock.
