Given in marriage by her fath er, the bride wore an A.llne gown of slipper satin fashioned with an Empire waist line and a lace bodice buttoned in the back with tiny pearl buttons and : in drop sleeves. Her floor length train was attached at the waist. Her floor lengtn veil m Fno-lish illusion fell from a lace petal crown encrusted with seed pearls. She carnea awnueuiote whlcn was topped with white bride's roses. Miss Patricia Ann Long was her sister's only attendant. She wore a mint green, floor length gown fashioned like that of the bride. The groom is a graduate of Huntington Beach High School In Garden Grove California and has Just recently returned from Viet nam where he served with the U.S. Army Special Forces. Following a wedding trip through the Southwestern part of the United States, the couple will be at home In Garden Grove, California. Immediately following the wed ding, a reception was given in the social hall of the church by the bride's parents, assisted by Mrs. Edgar Fields and Mrs. Marion Swindell. Guests were greeted by Mrs. Swindell and registered by Mrs. Sherman Ray Long. The bride's table was covered with a outwork linen cloth and was centered with an arrange ment of white gladioli and wedding cake was served by Miss Jerri Honeycutt of Raleigh and Mrs. Delia Faye Allen, cousin of the. bride. Also assisting in the serving was Miss Sheron Swindell. On Aug. 5, the bride was honor ed at a miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. Sherman Ray Long at the Lion's Den in Hertford. Upon arrival, the honoree was presented awhltecarnatlonacor. sage. A green and white motif was used In the decor. Miss Pat Long and Miss Jerri Honeycutt of Raleigh greeted and registered the guests. Approxi mately thirty guests attended. Games were enjoyed by every one. Petit Fours, mints, cheese straws and cokes were served. On August 15, Miss Jerri Hon eycutt honored the bride with a lingerie shower given at her home in Raleigh.
