Executive Council Of FHA Has I-Icct Friday At PCHS The Executive Council of the Perquimans Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America met Friday 13 In the Home Eco nomics Department with n pre sent. Among the items discussed were: a day for the Executive Council to meet; a seating ar rangement for the regular meet ings; collecting dues; and the selection of a committee to ar range bulletin boards at the Health Center. The first Chapter meeting will be held Friday, September 20. With no further business, Brenda Baccus adjourned the meeting. Cheryl Copeland Reporter Now Hope 4-H Club Meeting The New Hope 4-H Club held its monthly meeting Monday night, Sept. 16. We were very glad to have 2 Rescue Squad members present, Mr. H.B. Miller and Mr. Allen Winslow. They gave a very interesting program on accident prevention and first aid. The president, Linda Lou Ownley, called the meeting to order. Donna Baker, secretary, called the roll and read the min utes of the last meeting. V FHA I!c!d3 Fid Of Ycr The Perquimans Chapter of the Future Homemakers of America met Friday, Septem ber 20. After the opening cere mony, Peggy Jennings led the group In singing the "FHA Pray er Song" and we gave the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Brenda Baccus welcomed the new -members to the, cluo and also extended greetings to those who were members last year. The devotion was given by Frances Mansfield and Jo Ann Burner. Brenda introduced the new officers and the student teacher, Miss Barber. Linda Long read the min utes of the Executive Council meetings. ' June Harrell told when and how the $1.50 dues are to be collected. Margaret Mans field told about the programs to be given during the years. Miss Newby told the girls about the District Rally to be held in Ahoskie on October 5. Cindy Winslow told how she will col lect money for FHA pins. The magazine drive, selling cook books, and having a float in the Homecoming Parade were also discussed. Committees were selected to set up qualifications for an Perquimans High PTA Meets Oct. 3 The Executive meeting of the Pefquimans High School PTA was held on Monday night, Sept. 16 at the County Office Build ing with "Pete" Thompson, President, presiding. Items of business for the 1968-69 year were discussed. The first regular meeting of the PTA will be held on -Thursday night, October 3 in the Perqui mans High School auditorium.
