Any one who wishes to go on the tour is asked to make reserva tions by calling Mrs. Raymond Wlnslow -426-5879. A small charge will be made for the trip. Everyone is asked to bring a lunch. C Rccipa For Grapes Grapes are produced by many Perauimans County families Grape preserves, spiced grapes, grape conserve, grape 1am and grape Jelly are in de mand by the tourist who visit the Albemarle Area. Good grape conserved products are excel lent products to sell. If you are interested In selling grape pro ducts, please contact Mrs. Ha Grey White, Home Economics Extension Agent. A good recipe for spiced grapes is as follows: 7 lbs. grapes 1 pint vinegar 4-12 pounds sugar 1-2 tablespoons cinnamon (according to strength desired) 1-12 tablespoons ground cloves (according to strength desired) ? Separate pulp from hull of grapes, coil puip ; unui son enough to remove seeds. Dis card seeds. (Jook the nuns in enough water to prevent sticking until tenderiaroundis minutes;. This makes about 6 servings. - M c shortening. 3 lbs. lean beef, cut Into 1 - Inch cubes. 9 T flour 1H t salt M t pepper ft t dried thyme 1 c canned condensed beef ' broth, undiluted y 1 e dry red wine H lb. fresh mushrooms, . slleed, or 1 3oz. can , sliced mushrooms 12 small white onions 1. Heat oven to 325 degree.. 2. Brown meat in the fat then stir in flour, salt, pepper, and' thyme scraping bottom of klllet well. Turn all Into a 2 quart casserole. Pour in beef broth and wine. Cover casserole and bake for 2 hrs. 3. At the end of 2 hrs. add mush rooms and onions. (U mixture aeems dry, pour in Qual amounts of broth' and wine.) 4. Contlne baking for 1 to 14 hrs. : .':' '. 5.
