The Eager Beaver 4-H Club
met June 2 at the home of Mrs.
Marvin Davenport. The meeting
was called to order by the
president, Diane Eure. Pledges
were lead by Kathy Sawyer,
devotion was lead by Debbie
Lane and prayer by Gail Eure.
The roll was called with ten
members present and a total of
$47.44 reported in the Treasury.
Under old business our health
records were returned, and under
new business, District Day, 4-H
Congress Week, The County
Picnic and our local picnic were
discussed. .
Our leader gave us a series of
pamphlets on different subjects.
We had two demonstrations.
The first was given by Debbie
Lane oh how to make ribbon
sandwiches. The second by Mrs.
Davenport on table setting and
Dining Etiquette, after which the
meeting was closed with the
motto and refreshments were
served to all. -

The President thanked the
members for helping to make
Poppy Day, May 23, a success
and wishes to express ap
preciation to the public for the
generous contributions, which
will be used for Rehabilitation
and Child Welfare. The amount

collected was very gooa. many
delegate.
The Legion met with the
Auxiliary for a short ceremony in
which Charlie Skinner Jr., First
District Commander, made a
short talk about the many offices
the late Charles Clifford Banks
had held, read the "Resolution",
and presented it to his wife, Mrs.
Naomi D. Banks.
The members voted
unanimously to send the
President, Mrs. Sawyer, as
delegate to the Convention.
Mrs. Sawyer announced the
Legion will have a Fish Fry Junt
13 and that Auxiliary members
are asked to help sell tickets and
to serve.
Refreshments were enjoyed
during the social hour.

meeting Monday, June 8, 1970 at
the community building. Mrs.
Mary Belle Skinner lead the

secretary, Mrs. Annie Jones. All
committees presen reported the
information they had. The roll
